If you upgrade to Complete Home Emergency Cover, your plan will allow you to add cover for things such as boiler and central heating break downs, electrical faults, security, pest infestations and roof damage.
With Home Emergency Assist, you can also add cover for non-emergencies too (the Premium plan), which insures you against any sudden or unforeseen events that result in your system no longer working or operating correctly. Non-emergencies would include repairing dripping taps and replacing leaking pipes.

When your plumbing & drainage fail, where internal flooding or water damage is likely. Includes blocked toilets and external drains.
Water Supply Pipe Cover
A leak, collapse or blockage of the water supply pipe, provided that you're responsible for it (not shared with others).
Do you need Plumbing & Drainage Cover?
Although it's not a legal requirement, it's worth considering the potential cost of dealing with home emergencies and having to source your own engineer in the event of a break down.
If you're a tenant rather than a homeowner, it's your landlord's responsibility to look out for you if there is a home emergency.

Are there any limits to Plumbing & Drainage Cover?
Number of claims/call outs: there may be a limit to the number of call outs and claims you can make during the course of your policy. Some policies will also have a cooling-off period, during which time you won't be able to claim.
Cover limit: most insurers put a price cap on each claim, so you'll need to make sure that you have enough to cover call-out fees, parts and labour costs.
